Our mission is to help children from low-income families acquire the necessary skills in academics and social interaction to move successfully through grades K-12 and into adulthood. We do this by providing after school and summer programs which emphasize literacy and community involvement and use the talents of teachers, volunteer tutors, adult caregivers and a variety of local support services.

Summer Staff Position Opportunity!

If you are interested in working in a part time position as a classroom leader with kindergarten and first grades students for our academic summer program, please email me at lsempsrott@gecrc.org for more information. With your email please send your resume! We look forward to hiring someone that has a passion for learning with kids! The program will run June 18-July 25, with staff training and preparation beginning the week before and ending the week after those dates. We would prefer college graduates or students that will be graduating soon. Teaching experience is important. The position will be part time at 25 hours per week, with a possibility of continuing on through the next school year as a member of our staff!
