Our mission is to help children from low-income families acquire the necessary skills in academics and social interaction to move successfully through grades K-12 and into adulthood. We do this by providing after school and summer programs which emphasize literacy and community involvement and use the talents of teachers, volunteer tutors, adult caregivers and a variety of local support services.

GECRC Annual End of School Year Open House. 5/30/13

 
 
At this year's Open House, the students of GECRC shared their favorite memories with their volunteer tutors. Monica gave awards of recognition to volunteers, who committed several hours of tutoring services. And special congrats to Michaela, our volunteer of the year (good to have your name on the plaque, along with Joyce, Zach, Anne, & Jane). Ellen would be proud! And finally, GECRC students & their families, staff & volunteers enjoyed gathering time & a potluck dinner. Enjoy the pictures.
